Merit Process

Each summer, the university goes through its merit planning processes. This process includes determining salary increasing, processing the changes and notifying faculty and staff. The following will be helpful with the 2021-22 process:

2021 Timeline

Date Description
July 1, 2021 Faculty and non-bargaining unit staff merit will be launched.
HR Consultants will be able to begin the data entry.
HR Business Partners can run reports but not enter data.
July 23, 2021 Merit data entry will close for HR Consultants.
July 24, 2021 HR Business Partners will be able to begin their review and make final updates.
July 30, 2021 Merit data entry closes for HR Business Partners.
August 4, 2021 Compensation will finalize the merit.
August 15, 2021 Effective date of faculty increases.
September 1, 2021 Effective date of non-bargaining unit staff increases.
