Policy 1.30 – Conflict of Interest and Work Outside the University
On May 19, the Board of Trustees approved the Outside Activities and Conflicts Policy with an effective date of September 1, 2022. The single, comprehensive policy combines four previous policies addressing university ethical expectations, research conflicts of interest regulations, and other federal and state laws governing financial and fiduciary conflicts of interest. The Outside Activities and Conflicts Policy is owned by the Office of University Compliance and Integrity and replaced four existing policies (Faculty Conflict of Commitment and Faculty Paid External Consulting policies owned by the Office of Academic Affairs, the Faculty Financial Conflict of Interest policy owned by the Office of Research, and the Conflict of Interest and Work Outside the University policy owned by the Office of Human Resources).
Policy 2.35 – Enrollment in Credit Programs
The Enrollment in Credit Programs policy was retired on October 13, 2017. Information related to enrolling in credit programs during work hours can be found in the Flexible Work policy. Details on the tuition assistance benefit can be found on the Faculty and Staff Tuition Assistance page.
Policy 3.35 – Additional Compensation Involving Work Within the University
Content from the Additional Compensation Involving Work Within the University Policy was merged into the Staff Compensation policy. As a result, the Additional Compensation policy was retired on November 1, 2022. Refer to the Staff Compensation Policy 3.10.
Policy 4.45 – Equal Employment for Individuals With Disabilities
The Equal Employment for Individuals With Disabilities policy, 4.45 has been retired. On January 25, 2022, the Office of Institutional Equity issued the Access for Individuals With Disabilities Policy, which is a comprehensive policy that replaced policy 4.45. Policy 5.15 – Employee Orientation
The Employee Orientation policy was retired on December 31, 2020. See information about the retirement of the Employee Orientation policy.
Policy 5.20 – Training
The Training policy was retired on January 5, 2024. See information about the retirement of the Training policy.
Policy 8.20 – Employment Disputes
The Employment Disputes policy was retired on August 1, 2019.
