Employment Verification & Service Certification
Employment verification requests for individuals employed by Ohio State after January 1, 1998, are completed by The Work Number for Everyone®, an automated service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This service is available to faculty and staff of the university who need to provide employment verification information to a third party, such as when obtaining a loan. It is also available to external verifiers and social service agencies who need to verify employment or salary.

Employees can purchase additional insurance for themselves, eligible spouse and/or child(ren) at group rates through the Voluntary Group Term Life Insurance (VGTLI) program.
ACA Plan Choices and Rates
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), university employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week during a defined “measurement period” are offered medical coverage.
Gain or Loss of Coverage
If you or your dependent has recently gained or lost other coverage such as health coverage or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you may be eligible to make changes to your benefits within 30 days, including the day of the event.
