The Distinguished Staff Awards recognize and celebrate staff members who have made an impact at The Ohio State University. The award honors staff members for their outstanding leadership, accomplishments and service to the university.
Annual merit letters are now available in Workday for regular faculty and staff employees in colleges and university business units. These letters are generated in Workday when an employee receives either a base pay merit increase or a lump-sum merit payment.
Applications for the Staff Career Development Grants are being accepted through August 19, 2022. Eligible staff can apply for $1,250-$2,000 for professional development opportunities occurring between October 2022 - April 2023.
Starting July 1, 2022, Roth (after-tax) contributions, along with an in-plan Roth conversion feature, will be available in 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans. Active employees will be able to make Roth contributions through a current 403(b) and/or 457(b) plan provider.
Applications for tuition assistance benefits must be submitted each term, and the enrollment window for autumn semester 2022 is June 27-August 26, 2022.
Financial wellness is a critical component of overall well-being, and Ohio State offers resources for faculty and staff to help alleviate strain and stressors related to student loan debt.
A recent enhancement is now in effect for how employees’ reporting structure data can be updated in Workday. As of Friday, Aug. 12, managers, manager liaisons and HR consultants have access to initiate assigning an employee or vacant position to another manager in Workday.
The new and updated notifications will help applicants and managers be engaged and informed throughout important hiring milestones to highlight action items and meet deadlines, creating a more efficient hiring process. The new and enhanced notifications will be live in Workday by early August 2022.
Faculty and staff have an opportunity to be randomly selected to receive four complimentary tickets to the Ohio State vs. Arkansas State football game on Saturday, Sept. 10, at noon. Opt-in by Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 11:59 p.m.
