New Hire Forums to be Presented as Webinars

The monthly benefits and retirement forums for new faculty and staff will be presented by HR benefits consultants as online webinars in June and July. During these sessions, benefits consultants compare medical plan options, review health benefits and explain retirement choices.

BuckeyeLearn Expands Training Opportunities, Extends to Wexner Medical Center

More than 15,000 users have accessed BuckeyeLearn, the university-wide online training tool, since its introduction in September 2015.

Enrollment open for summer term dependent tuition assistance

The enrollment window for summer semester 2019 is open March 11, 2019, through June 14, 2019. Faculty and staff can apply online or with a paper application. Dependent tuition assistance applications must be submitted each term. The student must have a social security number on file with Buckeye Link.

Complete the sexual misconduct education for faculty and staff

To help identify, disrupt and report sexual misconduct, the online course “Report = Support: Identifying and Responding to Sexual Misconduct” has been assigned to everyone’s BuckeyeLearn transcript. More information is on the Title IX website.

Career Roadmap updates include new timeline and revised framework

Scheduled to launch in 2020, Career Roadmap is a comprehensive job family model and pay structure that will provide visibility to career paths for managers and staff to foster equitable, consistent compensation practices across the university and medical center.

HR Leadership Announcement

Linette (Lin) Hillis will join Ohio State in the role of associate vice president for talent, diversity and leadership, Office of Human Resources. Lin’s first day will be on Monday, October 29, 2018.

Self-Disclosure of Criminal Convictions reminder

To promote a safe Ohio State community, the Self-Disclosure of Criminal Convictions policy requires faculty, staff, graduate associates and student employees, appointees, volunteers, third party staffing vendors and individuals interacting with minors to self-disclose criminal convictions that occur within three business days of the conviction.
