Form 1095-C is a required tax form that provides information about the health care coverage you had or were offered by Ohio State in 2018. If you have not yet consented for electronic delivery, please do so by February 11. Otherwise, the form will be delivered to your home address on file in the HR System by March 4.

The Distinguished Staff Award, the university’s highest honor for staff, recognizes staff members who have made an impact at The Ohio State University. The annual award honors 12 outstanding staff members for their exceptional leadership, accomplishments, dedication and service to the university.

Wishing to use her expertise to serve the Columbus community, Susan Basso has been named to the Columbus Women’s Commission for a two-year term. Basso, the university’s senior vice president for talent, culture and human resources, has 30 years of experience in higher education human resources.

The dependent tuition assistance enrollment window for spring semester 2019 closes Friday, January 11. Applications for dependent tuition assistance must be submitted each term.

The Staff Career Development Grant provides staff an opportunity to further their growth and development. Eligible staff can apply for up to $1,250 for individuals, $1,750 for groups of 2-10 and $2,000 for groups of 11 or more towards professional development, education or training costs related to job and/or career goals.

Ohio State recognizes the importance of supporting faculty and staff as you balance career, personal and family life. On July 1, Ohio State launched a pilot of the new Human Resources operating model through the Enterprise Project’s HRSD Team as part of the university’s broader HR Transformation efforts.
The enrollment window for autumn semester 2019 is open June 24, 2019, through August 23, 2019. Faculty and staff can apply online or with a paper application. Dependent tuition assistance applications must be submitted each term. The student must have a social security number on file with Buckeye Link.
Anyone enrolled in an Ohio State faculty and staff medical plan automatically has access to Ohio State Travel Assistance when traveling outside Ohio and abroad.
On Wednesday, May 22, the University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC) hosted “Conversation with Susan Basso and HR Leadership,” during which a panel of Office of Human Resources leaders discussed the HR transformations underway, including the implementation of Workday and a new HR Service Delivery model. A video of the conversation is now available.
