In recognition for all you do, faculty and staff have the opportunity to be randomly selected to receive four complimentary tickets to the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Buckeye Football Game at noon on August 31. Faculty and staff must opt-in by Friday, July 19, at 11:59 p.m.
On July 1, Ohio State launched a pilot of the new Human Resources operating model through the Enterprise Project’s HRSD Team as part of the university’s broader HR Transformation efforts.

The Staff Career Development Grant provides staff an opportunity to further their growth and development. Eligible staff can apply for up to $1,250 for individuals, $1,750 for groups of 2-10 and $2,000 for groups of 11 or more towards professional development, education or training costs related to job and/or career goals.
Zia Ahmed’s childhood experiences, passion to help students and true love for being a Buckeye have led to what he calls his “dream job” creating an exceptional, sustainable and student-centric experience as Ohio State’s dining services senior director.

This same time last year I was at a place in my life where I didn't even think it was possible to lose weight. I had convinced myself that diets did not work for me, surgery wasn't an option financially, and the 10-15 pounds lost from exercises would eventually just find me again! Then I had a friend approach me about joining her wellness group.
Ten faculty members received the 2019 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching for their teaching excellence. Congratulations to our outstanding faculty recipients.

On Wednesday, May 22, the University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC) hosted “Conversation with Susan Basso and HR Leadership,” during which a panel of Office of Human Resources leaders discussed the HR transformations underway, including the implementation of Workday and a new HR Service Delivery model. A video of the conversation is now available.
Six Ohio State lecturers were recognized with the 2019 Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Lecturer for their passion for teaching, innovative classroom engagement and extraordinary effort in helping students succeed.

The World Health Organization's annual World No Tobacco Day is Friday, May 31. As a reminder, tobacco use on Ohio State property is prohibited. In recognition of the day, faculty and staff are encouraged to review the policy and available cessation resources and information.

The adoption of a new HR Service Delivery model across campus and the Wexner Medical Center is a key effort in delivering consistent, high-quality services and a cornerstone initiative of Ohio State’s HR Transformation efforts.
Dependent tuition assistance applications must be submitted each term. The enrollment window for spring semester 2020 opens November 11, 2019, and closes January 10, 2020. Faculty and staff can apply online or with a paper application. The student must have a social security number on file with Buckeye Link to receive dependent tuition assistance.
On Monday, September 9, HR colleagues participating in the HR Service Delivery (HRSD) pilot moved to the Office of Human Resources (OHR) location at South Campus Gateway, hitting a milestone in the development of the center, newly named HR Connection. Pilot partners celebrated their new office space with a welcome event.
On Monday, August 26, The HR community participated in an open house forum to connect with HR leadership in an open dialogue about Ohio State’s HR Transformation efforts. The 400 HR professionals in attendance were able to gain insights and information to help them shape their careers within the future HR model.
