The Nepotism Policy, 1.25 has been revised as of April 29, 2024, to further emphasize that employees are selected for positions based on job-related qualifications and not relationship by family or marriage. The updated policy clarifies that no employee can use their position to influence – either directly or indirectly – the hiring process for a family member.

Unused Compensatory Time to be Paid Out Beginning in 2022

Unused compensatory time will be paid out starting in 2022 per the previously revised Scheduling Work and Overtime Compensation Policy 6.10. The policy states that compensatory time must be used within 365 days. The policy requires that any earned compensatory time that is not used within 365 days will be paid out with the next pay period.

The Ohio State University has revised the Drug-Free Workplace Policy, 7.30 to further clarify safety and standards across all work environments, including remote and on-call locations. Key changes include updated procedures for reasonable suspicion testing, new guidance on prescription drug accommodations and refined definitions.
