The Staff Career Development Grant provides staff an opportunity to further their growth and development. Eligible staff can apply for up to $1,250 for individuals, $1,750 for groups of 2-10 and $2,000 for groups of 11 or more towards professional development, education or training costs related to job and/or career goals.
Nine HR professionals have been named to serve on HR Council, an advisory group to HR leadership for the university’s HR community. Each will serve a three-year term to provide cross-organizational input and advocate on behalf of the campus HR community.
Human resources professionals from across Ohio State gathered recently for a town hall meeting to reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, focus on the strategy for the years ahead and engage with a leader-development expert.

The University Staff Advisory Committee is hosting the inaugural Staff Benefits and Wellness Expo on Tuesday, March 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ohio Union. The expo will offer mini-breakout sessions, biometric screenings, professional headshots, department representatives and local organizations.

Employees who consented to receive the 2017 tax form 1095-C electronically can now access it in Employee Self Service. For those who did not consent, the form has been mailed to home addresses on file in the HR System.

Honored for their superior teaching, faculty members are nominated by present and former students and colleagues and selected by a committee of alumni, students, and faculty.
The dependent tuition assistance enrollment window for summer 2018 term closes Friday, June 15. Applications for dependent tuition assistance must be submitted each term.
