Annual Response Required to Confirm Other Medical Plan Coverage for Dependents

If an employee covers a spouse or dependent child on Ohio State's medical plan, they will receive an annual request for information about any other medical coverage they may have. The request is sent from Luminare Health (formerly Trustmark), Ohio State’s claims administrator. A response is required, even if their dependent does not have other coverage.

Benefits Open Enrollment Summary Available in Workday

Faculty and staff eligible for Ohio State benefits can now review their 2024 Open Enrollment benefits summary in Workday. The summary reflects enrollment in university-sponsored medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts (FSA), life insurance and short-term disability plans that will be in effect January 1 - December 31, 2024.

Eligible faculty and staff can apply in Workday (recommended) or with paper forms for dependent tuition assistance and faculty and staff tuition assistance.

Second Quarter Deadline for Lifestyle Spending Account Claims

Ohio State’s Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) reimburses employees up to $125 quarterly for eligible expenses related to health, fitness, family, emotional and social wellness. The second quarter ends June 30. Employees have until July 15 to submit a claim for eligible expenses incurred April 1 – June 30. Unused LSA funds do not carry over.
