The Distinguished Staff Award, the university's highest honor for staff, recognizes staff members who have made an impact at The Ohio State University. The annual award honors 12 outstanding staff members for their exceptional leadership, accomplishments, dedication and service to the university. The nomination deadline is January 31 at 5 p.m.

The Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award recognizes individuals and groups for their commitment to enhancing diversity at Ohio State. Faculty, staff, students, student organizations and alumni can nominate their colleagues and peers who have made diversity part of university best practices. The nomination deadline is January 31 at 5 p.m.

Faculty and staff have an opportunity to be randomly selected to receive four complimentary tickets to the Ohio State vs. University of Tulsa football game on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 3:30 p.m. Opt-in by Friday, Aug. 20, at 11:59 p.m.

The university is making a one-time plan amendment to extend the filing deadline for 2021 Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) claims.

Unused Compensatory Time to be Paid Out Beginning in 2022
Unused compensatory time will be paid out starting in 2022 per the previously revised Scheduling Work and Overtime Compensation Policy 6.10. The policy states that compensatory time must be used within 365 days. The policy requires that any earned compensatory time that is not used within 365 days will be paid out with the next pay period.

Applications are required each applicable semester to receive faculty and staff tuition assistance. Eligible faculty and staff can apply in Workday (recommended) or with paper forms. The enrollment window for summer semester 2022 ends May 13, 2022.
Enrollment Window Opens for Summer Semester
Applications for tuition assistance benefits must be submitted each term, and the enrollment window for summer semester 2022 is March 21-May 13, 2022. Eligible faculty and staff can apply in Workday (recommended) or with paper forms for dependent tuition assistance and faculty and staff tuition assistance.
