HR Staff Recognized for Embodying Ohio State’s Shared Values

Five Ohio State Human Resources professionals have been recognized with 2026 HR Excellence Awards – highlighting how everyday contributions translate into meaningful impact that shapes workplace culture, strengthens leadership, fosters inclusion and ensures that faculty and staff have the resources they need to succeed.

“Behind every successful team, program, patient or student experience at Ohio State are HR professionals working together to support, guide and empower people at every stage of their career,” said Katie Hall, senior vice president, talent, culture and human resources “I’m incredibly proud to honor and award this excellent group of professionals on our team.”

Nominations were submitted by leaders from academic, business and medical center units, colleagues and members of the HR community. Recipients were selected through a competitive review process by a committee of members external to HR and a previous winner.

Award recipients were chosen based on their ability to enhance the quality of work life, deliver exceptional service and model behaviors that set a strong example across the institution. Each award category is tied directly to Ohio State’s Shared Values, recognizing how these principles are put into action in ways that support faculty, staff and institution’s mission.
