Ohio State honors 752 faculty and staff for milestone service

The Ohio State University celebrated long-serving employees at the annual Faculty and Staff Service Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 10. A total of 752 faculty and staff were honored this year for reaching milestone anniversaries, ranging from 25 to 55 years of service.

The annual event, hosted by Human Resources, recognized committed careers with milestones celebrated at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 years.

The 752 honorees represent incredibly cumulative loyalty, broken down as follow:

  • 55 years: 1 honoree
  • 50 years: 2 honorees
  • 45 years: 12 honorees
  • 40 years: 40 honorees
  • 35 years: 97 honorees
  • 30 years: 210 honorees
  • 25 years: 390 honorees

Among these distinguished individuals, Anita Morgan, clinical research assistant, college of medicine, was celebrated for dedicating an impressive 55 years of service to Ohio State.

An afternoon of gratitude

The event served as a powerful reminder of the impact these individuals have made across all facets of the institution—from teaching and patient care to operational support and community outreach. The afternoon was marked by fun, celebration and a nostalgic trip down memory lane as colleagues reflected on their years at Ohio State.

“Throughout historic changes and challenges, you have continually shared your skills, expertise and passion, which has been crucial in advancing the university toward its goals and helping our communities thrive. Your dedication is what defines the incredible Buckeye experience,” said Katie Hall, senior vice president of Talent, Culture and Human Resources.

The luncheon highlighted how the honorees’ contributions have ensured the university remains a leader in higher education and a vital asset to the community and beyond.
