Benefits Open Enrollment Summary Available in Workday

Open Enrollment, the annual opportunity for employees to evaluate their benefit options and make elections for the upcoming year, ended November 15, and eligible faculty and staff can now view their enrollment summary in Workday.

The summary reflects enrollment in the following university-sponsored plans that will be in effect January 1 – December 31, 2025:

  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Life insurance
  • Short-term disability

Effective dates for plan that require Evidence of Insurability (EOI), such as Voluntary Group Term Life for the employee and spouse, will be based on EOI approval.

Need to make a change? Between now and 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, you may make necessary changes to your 2025 elections directly within Workday. This short window is your final opportunity to update your 2025 elections in Workday.

Workday Notifications for Merit Increases

Merit notifications are being provided via Workday for the 2025 fiscal year to all Ohio State employees who receive a merit base pay increase and/or merit lump-sum amount. Your merit notification will specify if you are receiving a base pay increase, a lump sum increase or both. If you are not receiving a merit increase this year, you will not receive a notification.
