Ohio State Listening Survey

Ohio State is launching a listening survey to collect feedback from faculty and staff starting Wednesday, May 1, and open until Friday, May 17.

The brief survey asks about your experience and engagement at Ohio State.

Collected input will provide Ohio State President Walter “Ted” Carter with employee perspective as he marks the first 100 days of his administration, and shapes future strategy and goals.

Ohio State has partnered with Perceptyx, an independent third-party survey research firm, to provide a confidential survey.

There are 14 questions, and the survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Completing the survey

On May 1, all employees eligible to participate should have received a direct email from Perceptyx. Each email has a unique link to complete the survey.

If you cannot find the email with your unique link, access the survey through the Perceptyx website. When entering the survey, you will be asked for your Employee ID. You can find your Employee ID in Workday under your profile or the top number on your BuckID.

Who is included

This survey is for campus faculty and staff who started with Ohio State by March 1, 2024.

Faculty and staff at the Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine are surveyed annually, and they will not be included in this Spring listening survey. Responses from their most recent annual survey will be combined with this new data to create a broad picture. A robust engagement survey for all faculty and staff will be initiated next year.

Additionally, student employees and graduate associates are not included in this survey.

Confidentiality

This is a strictly confidential survey administered by Perceptyx. To ensure privacy, results will be deidentified by Perceptyx and only aggregated at the college and unit level.

Your link or Employee ID will connect your input to your organization structure, but not to your personal identity. This allows Perceptyx, a third-party vendor, to manage customized reminders and aggregate results based on things like college/unit, years of service, location, etc.

Senior leadership, directors, and managers will not have access to individual responses.
