Expanded Career Resources in Workday

If you want to advance your Buckeye career, a new Workday internal career site has tools to help you easily navigate and apply for open opportunities across Ohio State.

The “Career” section is the primary spot for information related to open faculty, staff and student positions and can be found by clicking the “Menu” icon in the upper left corner of Workday.

It includes:

  • Resources and trainings for career growth
  • Job referral information
  • Definitions and job aids to understand career levels
  • An overview of your job applications
  • Enhanced search capabilities for academic and health care internal job postings
  • Access to your Workday profile to update your education and work history

Make sure to keep your Workday profile updated to make it easier to apply for internal positions and leverage these tools to advance your career at Ohio State.

Workday Notifications for Merit Increases

Merit notifications are being provided via Workday for the 2025 fiscal year to all Ohio State employees who receive a merit base pay increase and/or merit lump-sum amount. Your merit notification will specify if you are receiving a base pay increase, a lump sum increase or both. If you are not receiving a merit increase this year, you will not receive a notification.

The new dashboard, called the Benefits and Pay Hub, combines the previous Pay and Benefits apps with more comprehensive details about your compensation history, recent paychecks, health benefits, and more.

Third Quarter Deadline for Lifestyle Spending Account Claims

Ohio State’s Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) reimburses employees up to $125 quarterly for eligible expenses related to health, fitness, family, emotional and social wellness. The third quarter ends September 30. Employees have until October 15 to submit a claim for eligible expenses incurred July 1 – September 30. Unused LSA funds do not carry over.
