Human Resources is launching the Staff Career Data Project and asking approximately 22,500 staff to enter their education and past job experience in Workday by Dec. 5, 2023.
Maintaining accurate education and prior work experience information in Workday has several benefits:
- Provides leaders and managers with visibility to a team member’s skills, experience and career successes.
- Advances conversations between managers and their direct reports on next steps in their career path.
- Supports future pay decisions by ensuring experience and education are evaluated appropriately.
This data entry is an important first step in an institution-wide effort to enhance staff data integrity in Workday. Ultimately, this is intended to help develop staff and ensure their experience and education can be appropriately evaluated as their careers progress at Ohio State.
Timeline
November 8: In-scope staff employees will receive an email asking them to review their education and job history and make necessary updates by December 5.
December 5: Deadline for in-scope staff employees to complete their review and make updates to their Workday profile.
