Supplemental retirement enrollment calendars to change April 1

In addition to the mandatory retirement plans, Ohio State offers supplemental savings options to help faculty and staff plan for retirement. Most Ohio State employees are eligible to participate in the 403(b) and 457(b) Supplemental Retirement Accounts (SRA).

Due to changes in federal law, Ohio State’s enrollment rules for 457(b) plans will align with those of the 403(b) plans effective April 1, 2023. Enrollment calendars for SRAs will be updated once this change is effective. Check the calendars under Other Retirement Saving Options on the retirement page.

For Ohio Deferred Compensation 457(b) plans, employees should refer to ohio457.org for the enrollment window.
