Fidelity Investments, Ohio State’s lead retirement plan administrator, is hosting an “Ask Fidelity” webinar about Roth (after-tax) retirement contributions at noon on September 7. As of July 1, 2022, Roth retirement contributions, along with an in-plan Roth conversion feature, are available in Ohio State’s 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans.

A recent enhancement is now in effect for how employees’ reporting structure data can be updated in Workday. As of Friday, Aug. 12, managers, manager liaisons and HR consultants have access to initiate assigning an employee or vacant position to another manager in Workday.

Annual merit letters for faculty and campus staff available in Workday

Annual merit letters are now available in Workday for regular faculty and staff employees in colleges and university business units. These letters are generated in Workday when an employee receives either a base pay merit increase or a lump-sum merit payment.

Workday Enhancements Improve Experience for Job Applicants and Managers

The new and updated notifications will help applicants and managers be engaged and informed throughout important hiring milestones to highlight action items and meet deadlines, creating a more efficient hiring process. The new and enhanced notifications will be live in Workday by early August 2022.

New Roth Retirement Options Available July 1

Starting July 1, 2022, Roth (after-tax) contributions, along with an in-plan Roth conversion feature, will be available in 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans. Active employees will be able to make Roth contributions through a current 403(b) and/or 457(b) plan provider.
