Workday Enhancements Improve Experience for Job Applicants and Managers

To provide a better job application experience and clear guidance for applicants and managers, Workday notifications throughout the job application process have been enhanced.

The new and updated notifications will help applicants and managers be engaged and informed throughout important hiring milestones to highlight action items and meet deadlines, creating a more efficient hiring process. The new and enhanced notifications will be live in Workday by early August 2022.

Job applicants will receive notifications at critical points in the hiring process – application, offer, background check and onboarding. The notifications will provide further details on what they need to do next and prompt them to take action based on the job, status and action items required.

Additionally, managers who are hiring for a position will receive enhanced notifications that provide details on the position name, requisition number and applicant name to help them better follow the process. The notifications will alert them during the offer, hire and add/change job points in the process. Individuals who have a manager liaison security role are also being added to the notifications and prompts to ensure they have the information to assist with the process.

Employees can view their notifications in Workday by clicking on the bell icon. They can also choose to receive a Workday daily digest and/or emails for each notification. View this article for instruction on how to manage Workday notification preferences.
