Updates to Rules for Classified Civil Service available for feedback

Ohio State’s Rules for Classified Civil Service (CCS) are being updated, and CCS employees have the opportunity to review the proposed changes and provide feedback until Friday, July 8, 2022.

The Rules are being updated to align with current business operating structure and the implementation of Career Roadmap.

Launching in November 2022, Career Roadmap is a modern compensation and job classification model developed by Ohio State to provide transparent career paths and pay ranges for staff. Additionally, the Staff Compensation policy, which is available for feedback through July 3, 2022, is scheduled to become effective at the same time as Career Roadmap’s launch. More information about those policy changes is available on the Office of University Compliance and Integrity website.

The CCS Rule changes are planned for review by the Board of Trustees in August and pending approval will become effective at the same time as Career Roadmap and the Staff Compensation policy.

A full summary of the proposed Rule changes is available online, and the current CCS Rules are posted on the Human Resources website.

You can submit feedback through this online form.
