Using Workday for 2022 Benefits Open Enrollment

Ohio State is proud to offer eligible faculty and staff exceptional total rewards, including the benefit options available during Open Enrollment. This is the annual opportunity to evaluate benefit options and make your elections.

Enrollment for 2022 benefits will take place in Workday. More detailed, step-by-step instructions will be available during Open Enrollment. Below is an overview of the process for making your elections in Workday:

  • Your Workday inbox will include an “Open Enrollment Change” action item when you log into Workday on November 1, 2021. This event will remain in your inbox until you submit 2022 elections or until open enrollment closes on November 15, 2021.
  • Click on the “Open Enrollment Change” item and you will see benefit cards that match your eligibility. Click “Manage” or “Enroll” below the plan you want to elect or change. You will be prompted to complete other benefit inbox items prior to being able to submit Open Enrollment elections for 2022.
  • Once you have reviewed or selected your benefits, click “Review and Sign.” If you are ready to submit, scroll to the bottom and select, “I Accept” and click “Submit.” If you do not accept and submit your elections, no updates will be made. You will be able to save and/or print a confirmation summary following submission.

Visit the Open Enrollment website for information on the benefits offered and changes for 2022.

In addition, live webinars and recorded videos about benefit elections are available. Separate webinars about enrolling in Workday are also offered.
