The shutdown of Peoplesoft in advance of the Workday launch will affect access to certain benefits actions in Employee Self Service (ESS). While these dates are being communicated in other channels, here is a brief list:
December 4, 2020, is the last day employees can use ESS for the following:
- 2020 benefit elections for new hires, newly eligible employees and life events within the 30 day enrollment window. After December 4, those employees will need to complete paper enrollment forms for 2020 benefits and return to HR Connection at hrconnection.osu.edu or via fax, email or in person.
- Accessing confirmation statements for 2021 benefit elections. Confirmation statements will be mailed to home addresses and accessible in ESS through December 4.
The end of business on December 11, 2020, is the last day employees can use ESS for enrolling in Dependent Tuition Assistance (DTA) for spring semester 2021 until the launch of Workday. You are strongly encouraged to enroll in DTA before that day to avoid a delay in the assistance being applied to a student’s statement of account. To enroll in DTA during the downtime, employees will need to use the paper form.
Access to My FSA/HRA account information will also be affected by the downtime. A redirect page available at eprofile.osu.edu after December 11 will include a link to My FSA/HRA via TASC.
If you have questions, contact HR Connection at hrconnection.osu.edu, (614) 247-myHR (6947) or HRConnection@osu.edu. Representatives are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
