Some of Ohio State’s Rules for Classified Civil Service (CCS) are being updated to align with the university’s implementation of Workday and recent HR policy revisions.
Over the past year, multiple HR policies went through the official revision process and a university-wide feedback period. Seven policies were approved by President’s Cabinet on Monday, July 13, 2020, and five policies were approved on Monday, August 10, 2020.
These policy revisions are part of the HR business transformation process and the university’s Enterprise Project to improve the employee experience and better align business practices.
The changes to the CCS rules will align the language of the revised policies and rules, and update terminology related to Workday.
The updated CCS rules will be presented to the Ohio State Board of Trustees for approval on November 19, 2020.
Policy effective dates, which are late December 2020 and early January 2021, are coordinated with the implementation of Workday, a cloud-based application that will serve as a single system for the university’s finance, HR and payroll information.
