Faculty and staff eligible for Ohio State medical benefits will have access to a helpful resource during Open Enrollment: myBenefitsMentor. This tool models projected medical and pharmacy expenses based on anticipated health care needs for 2019. myBenefitsMentor is now available in Employee Self Service.
In addition, those enrolled in an Ohio State medical plan prior to August 1, 2018, will receive a myBenefitsMentor statement at their home address this week.
These resources can help employees decide which medical plan may be the best choice for their needs and help determine their contribution to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2019. Health Care FSAs allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars that can be used to reimburse eligible health care expenses for themselves and their dependents.
Open Enrollment for 2019 benefits is November 1-14, 2018. Join an Open Enrollment webinar or sign up for a benefits forum at hr.osu.edu/oe/enrollment-assistance.
