STRS Retirement Planning Seminars

The Office of Human Resources is hosting two retirement education seminars on September 13, 2018, for members of the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS). STRS representatives will lead the seminars.

Beyond the Classroom,” 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hays Cape Room in the Ohio Union, is for STRS members who are five to 10 years from retirement. This three-hour workshop explains how to calculate your final average salary, payment options for receiving STRS Ohio retirement benefits, how and when to purchase service credit, health care issues and funding. Retirement Countdown,” 2-4 p.m., Hays Cape Room in the Ohio Union, is for STRS members who are 12-18 months from retirement. STRS educators will provide a walk-through of the Service Retirement Application, and will conclude by giving an overview of what to expect during the retirement process and will address any questions you may submit during the presentation. Enrollment window open for autumn term dependent tuition assistance

The enrollment window for autumn semester 2019 is open June 24, 2019, through August 23, 2019. Faculty and staff can apply online or with a paper application. Dependent tuition assistance applications must be submitted each term. The student must have a social security number on file with Buckeye Link.

Anyone enrolled in an Ohio State faculty and staff medical plan automatically has access to Ohio State Travel Assistance when traveling outside Ohio and abroad.
