This year, 579 faculty and staff celebrated milestone years of service with Ohio State. On Monday, Dec. 5, President Michael V. Drake and other university leaders honored their dedication and service during the annual Faculty and Staff Service Recognition Luncheon.
The annual event recognizes committed careers to Ohio State on anniversaries, starting at 25 years, with additional milestones celebrated at 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 years. As the longest-serving honoree, Professor Herbert W. Ockerman was recognized for his 55 years of service at the university.
At the event, President Drake congratulated faculty and staff on their significant years of service and thanked them for the impact they have made. He also expressed his appreciation for what faculty and staff contribute every day to make Ohio State a better place.
