2017 Open Enrollment – How much coverage do I need?

Faculty and staff have access a great tool to compare costs between medical plan options.

Those enrolled in an Ohio State medical plan prior to August 1, 2016, will receive an Informed Enrollment Statement.

In addition, all benefits-eligible employees have access to Informed Enrollment Online (now MyBenefitsMentor), which allows individuals to model projected medical and pharmacy expenses based on anticipated health care needs for 2017.

After comparing costs for available plan options, it’s possible that an individual may save money by choosing to enroll in a different plan.

Informed Enrollment also allows an employee to estimate out-of-pocket health care expenses, which you can help offset by using a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and/or a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
