Ohio State Women in Technology

Ohio State’s Tech Hub, the university’s one-stop shop for technology products, trainings and services, recently completed a campaign called “OSU Women in Tech,” which aimed to share the stories of how women are impacting, transforming and improving technology at Ohio State.

For two months, Tech Hub profiled Ohio State faculty and staff women spanning a myriad of technology disciplines. Features included:

• Diane Dagefoerde, deputy chief information officer, who leads the teams that manage the university’s major IT systems.
• Helen Patton, chief information security officer, who spearheads strategies to keep Ohio State data secure.
• Liv Gjestvang, associate vice president of learning technology, who identifies how technology tools can improve student learning outcomes.
• Queenie Chow, manager of the Digital Unions, who leads a collection of high-tech computer labs for the Ohio State community.
