The Ohio State University is committed to the career development of all staff and a new change to the Staff Manager Development Grant gives managers greater access to professional development opportunities.
The Staff Manager Development Grant provides financial support for managers to enhance their management skills through development opportunities at Ohio State. Grants of up to $1,000 are available throughout the year to fund participation in workshops, programs or conferences at the university.
Previously, the Staff Manager Development Grant was only available during specific application windows. Now, managers can apply for the grant at any time during the year, as funding is available, to enable them to seek funding as professional development opportunities become available at the university.
Examples of Ohio State providers include, but are not limited to: Fisher College of Business Executive Education, Alber Enterprise Center, Ohio State ATI, The John Glenn College of Public Affairs MAPS Program and The Leadership Center.
