The Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Awards recognize and reward individuals who have led exceptional diversity efforts at The Ohio State University. Award recipients shape the university with cutting-edge curriculum, mentorship, programs or policies. Valerie Kinloch, PhD, Professor in Literary Studies Director, Diversity and Inclusion College of Education and Human Ecology Professor Kinloch has been a long-standing scholar and researcher focused on the intersection of race, place and literacies in the lives of students of color in schools and local communities. She is a convener, collaborator, mentor, leader and change agent in her classroom, community and college.

Andrea L. Peabody, Graduate Research Associate School of Biomedical Science – Biomedical Informatics Andee has demonstrated outstanding leadership and advocacy work in enhancing the educational experience of STEM students with diverse abilities. She has an impressive intellect, love and enthusiasm for science, research and education.
