This webinar provides employees with information needed to successfully navigate benefits choices as a new hire.

This 90-minute webinar  provides you with information that you need to successfully navigate your benefits choices as a new hire. You have 30 days from the effective date of your eligible appointment to enroll in health benefits. During the 30 day enrollment period, you may elect coverage in one of the several medical plans available, dental and vision coverage, dependent and health care flexible spending accounts, short-term disability, dependent group term life insurance, and voluntary group term life insurance coverage.

This online webinar will be presented live by HR benefits consultants and provides you with the opportunity to view it from any computer. You will NOT need to come to the Gateway Building to view the webinar.

2020 Distinguished Staff Award Nomination Deadline
Nominations for the 2020 Distinguished Staff Award will be accepted December 2, 2019 – January 27, 2020.

The Distinguished Staff Award annually honors twelve (12) individuals for their outstanding achievements, service, leadership and dedication to The Ohio State University. The Distinguished Staff Award is the highest honor bestowed upon staff at the university since its inception in 1984. Nominations for the Distinguished Staff Award will be accepted December 2, 2019 – January 27, 2020. Complete and submit the requested nomination materials to nominate a staff member. 2020 Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award Nomination Deadline
Nominations for the 2020 Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award will be accepted December 2, 2019 – January 27, 2020.

The Office of Human Resources and the Senate Diversity Committee annually recognize diversity efforts at The Ohio State University. Faculty, staff, students, student organizations and alumni can nominate their colleagues to be selected as one of five recipients. Nominations for the Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award will be accepted December 2, 2019 – January 27, 2020. Staff Career Development Grant Application Deadline
Staff Career Development Grant applications will be accepted January 1-31, 2020.

The Staff Career Development Grant provides staff with an opportunity to further their growth and development. Eligible staff can apply for up to $1,250 for individuals, $1,750 for groups of 2-10 and $2,000 for groups of 11 or more towards professional development, education or training costs related to job and/or career goals. Applications will be accepted January 1-31, 2020.

The enrollment window for dependent tuition assistance for the 2020 summer semester is March 9 - June 1, 2020. For dependent tuition assistance, applications must be submitted each term.

The Ohio State University offers eligible employees and their dependents the opportunity to advance their education at Ohio State. For dependent tuition assistance, applications must be submitted each term. Summer 2020 term enrollment window is March 9 – June 1, 2020.
