This workshop provides participants further insight regarding what are often perceived as harmless statements, but in fact can cause harm.

This 2-hour in-person workshop is based on the book by Dr. Maura Cullen, 35 Dumb Things Well-Intended People Say. These statements, though well intended, can often widen the diversity gap.  This workshop provides participants further insight regarding what are often perceived as harmless statements, but in fact can cause harm.

This workshop will provide participants with key legal and policy details, how to recognize sexual misconduct, how to file a complaint or make a report, support resources, and how to prevent sexual misconduct in the work and academic setting.

This 2-hour instructor-led workshop will provide participants with key legal and policy details, how to recognize sexual misconduct, how to file a complaint or make a report, support resources, and how to prevent sexual misconduct in the work and academic setting. If you prefer to take this training online register for the Understanding the Sexual Misconduct Policy online course offered by the Office of Human Resources.

Members of the university community have the right to be free from all forms of sexual misconduct which impede the realization of the university’s mission of distinction in education, scholarship, and service. All members of the university community are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that maintains an environment free from sexual misconduct.

Paper and Bytes: Policies, Best Practices, and Resources for Managing Ohio State Records
Become more knowledgeable about university policies, legal requirements, and best practices concerning the retention, management and disposition of records in their care.

The Ohio State University, as a public institution, must comply with laws governing public records. Effective compliance can only be achieved through proper records management.  This 2-hour instructor-led workshop will help participants become more knowledgeable about policies, legal requirements and best practices concerning the retention, management and disposition of records in their care. Participants will also learn practical tips and techniques for managing email and organizing electronic records.

Paper and Bytes is provided in partnership by University Libraries and the Office of Human Resources.
