This 90-minute webinar will provide you with the information you need to make an informed choice regarding your retirement plan options as a new hire. You have 120 days including the effective date of your eligible appointment to choose a retirement program. During the 120 day enrollment period, you may elect to participate in the Ohio Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP), Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) for staff, or State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS) for faculty.

To introduce new Ohio State employees to the culture of Ohio State and set them up for success from their first day, all newly hired staff will attend a virtual orientation. Orientation will be offered every other Monday and create a consistent, unified first day experience across our five campus locations, Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and sites across the state.
Two virtual orientations will be held simultaneously every other Monday morning – one for campus employees and one for medical center employees.

This 1-hour webinar provides you with information that you need to understand Ohio State tuition assistance benefits for both the Faculty and Staff Tuition benefit and the Dependent Tuition Assistance benefit. During this session, Benefits Consultants will review the tuition benefits and possible taxation implications, and the tuition benefits election deadlines. Also the Benefits Consultants will review the enrollment steps in Workday for both the Faculty and Staff Tuition and Dependent Tuition Assistance benefits. Time is allotted for Questions & Answers.
