Homeownership Incentives - Human Resources at Ohio State
Ohio State University offers assistance in buying a home to faculty and staff with regular appointments of 50% FTE or greater. Two down payment assistance programs aim to increase the level of homeownership in the University District and the Near East Side, two Columbus neighborhoods with a significant Ohio State presence.
University District and Weinland Park
The homeownership incentive program for the University District provides a zero-interest forgivable loan for the required down payment, closing costs and/or reduction in principal amount on a home purchased in the University District, which includes Weinland Park. Learn more from Campus Partners.

The homeownership incentive program for the Near East Side provides a zero-interest forgivable loan for the required down payment, closing costs and/or reduction in principal amount on a home purchased in Columbus’ Near East Side, which is home to University Hospital East and CarePoint East. Funds cannot be reserved until the complete application, including a signed purchase contract, is submitted and approved.
