2026 Open Enrollment for ACA-Eligible Employees
If you are eligible for Ohio State medical coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), you can participate in Open Enrollment for 2026 medical coverage. This is your opportunity to review your benefit options and elect or change coverage. Letters to eligible individuals will be mailed in November.
The ACA Open Enrollment period for 2026 benefits is November 26 – December 5, 2025. Coverage will be effective January 1, 2026.
Enrollment in an Ohio State medical plan includes medical, pharmacy, and wellness benefits.

Enrollment Steps
If you wish to enroll in Ohio State medical coverage for 2026, you must complete a Health Election Medical Form, and return it to HR Connection by December 5, 2025.
Complete a Personal Health and Well-Being Assessment (PHA) to earn a premium credit and access to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). An HRA is an employer-funded account from which you can be reimbursed for eligible heath care expenses. Participants earn credits to their personal HRA as part of the Your Plan for Health Incentive Program. An HRA can be used for copayments, coinsurance and deductibles.
