Our team provides support for the overarching talent strategies that support the vision and goals of the university while maintaining a best-in-class and efficient approach in hiring faculty and staff.

Specific elements of our work include:

  • Leadership for Work Life and the workforce planning initiative
  • Delivery of the right infrastructure and tools to support recruitment and selection in our colleges and units
  • The management and coordination of the centralized background check process

Talent Strategy also includes Veterans Affairs, Affirmative Action and EEO oversight as well as I-9 and E-verify compliance. Our team commits to working closely with the HR community to assess needs, prioritize issues and identify ways to sustain or improve talent practices and the delivery of those practices at the college/unit level.
