OSU Center for Wellness and Prevention Offers Wide Variety of Services, Specialties

Professional staffing: In addition to exercise physiologists, fitness specialists, and dietitians, who can help you achieve your goals, the OSU Center for Wellness and Prevention (CWP) offers the services of nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians, behaviorists, and health educators.

What’s Available?

  • General fitness programming is for anyone, but especially geared for people with high blood pressure, diabetes, and other chronic conditions.
  • Weight management programs
  • Warm water pool classes for individuals who want to maintain improvements after completing warm-water physical therapy and for those with arthritis and other musculoskeletal problems that cause pain and discomfort from land exercise
  • Phase 2 and maintenance cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation for people with cardiac and pulmonary disease
  • Pre and post bariatric surgery programming

The facility provides: aerobic and strength equipment, specialty classes such as yoga, Body Recall, body sculpting, strength and balance ball, and a large warm-water pool.

Discounts: All faculty and staff are eligible for general fitness and program discounts. Some programming requires physician referral and/or clearance.
