How will my short-term disability benefits be paid during my maternity leave for a covered pregnancy?
Disability benefits will only be paid during the portion of the maternity leave that is disability related (i.e., medically necessary). This includes the recovery period immediately following the birth (generally two weeks following a normal delivery and four weeks after a C-section)
or the result of complications before or after the birth. Refer to hr.osu.edu/benefits/disabilitybenefits for additional information.
How will my disability benefits be paid while I am off work for four months recovering from surgery?
Disability benefits will only be paid during the portion of your recovery that is deemed medically necessary for you to remain off work. Refer to hr.osu.edu/benefits/disabilitybenefits for additional information.
