USAC is a 30-member advisory committee, with 10 people rotating on and off every year. New members and outgoing members are recognized at the annual USAC Recognition Breakfast, scheduled for May 28.

The USAC Town Meeting was held on February 20, at the Ross Heart Hospital. This was President Gee’s first town meeting since his return to Ohio State. Other university administrators on the panel included Senior Vice President of Business and Finance William Shkurti, Associate Vice President for Human Resources Larry Lewellen, and Interim Senior Vice President for Health Sciences Chip Souba, MD, ScD. The panel addressed many questions from the audience and regional locations. This year, The Ohio State Medical Center was also able to watch the town meeting via an intranet site.

USAC now has a fund number with University Development. Campus Campaign donations can be made to Fund 312628 to support USAC’s development efforts.

USAC members made several accomplishments this term. A few are listed below:

  • Breakfasts with President Gee
  • Successful new member recruitment
  • A Campus Campaign fund established for USAC: Fund 312628
  • A well-attended February town meeting
  • Staff Compensation and Benefits Committee presentation

Each year, USAC sponsors several activities for university staff including the Staff Arts and Crafts Exhibit, Rally for Wellness, Hidden Benefits Fair, regional campus visits, town meetings, and breakfasts with President Gee. For more information, visit usac.osu.edu.
