Reach 1

Reach 1 provides eligible university employees the opportunity to improve their basic literacy skills and to prepare for the GED (equivalency diploma). With Reach 1, employees work at their own pace on a course of instruction created especially for them. Professional instructors guide employees every step of the way. The program is free and the university provides materials and instruction.

Class times are flexible, allowing employees to attend on their own time or on work time with super-visor approval. Participants in the program are expected to set goals and to attend class on a regular basis. Individuals may enter the program at any time during the year and leave the program when their goals are achieved.

LOCATION

Classes are held in 003 Raney Commons Monday through Thursday. Call for class times.

"Reach 1 helped me earn my GED. The teachers are helpful and caring. The classes are small, so you receive individual attention. It’s a wonderful program!"
