The second annual Quest for the Best closing ceremony was held October 2 to announce the winning team and honor all of the teams and captains for their participation.

The 2007 Quest for the Best winner was the Colleges of Arts and Sciences Advising and Academic Services with an average of 749 points per player. OARCD/Wooster came in second place with an average of 713 and OSU Newark took third place with an average of 551.

The winning team was awarded $5,000 for their central operating budget to fund services, programming, or equipment that will promote more work life integration among faculty and staff. The prize was donated by the Office of the President, Office of Academic Affairs, and Office of Human Resources.

The six-month challenge was kicked off in April 2007 when eight business units and two colleges committed to assembling a team and competing for first place.

“The Work Life team and I really appreciated all of the hard work and commitment on the part of each captain and team member,” said Katie Purcell, Quest coordinator. “It was amazing to work with the teams and watch them come together and succeed.”  The 2007 Quest for the Best captains and teams are available online at hr.osu.edu/worklife/questteams.aspx.

Quest for the Best was formulated in 2005 as a fun way for management, faculty, and staff to affect a change in their work environment by promoting a culture of work and life integration.
