Deadline Reminder for 2007 Flexible Spending Accounts Participants

Do you have any money left in your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) from the 2007 plan year?
If you have unused 2007 Health Care and/or Dependent Care FSA dollars for the plan year that ended on December 31, 2007, these funds can be used to pay for eligible expenses incurred between January 1 – December 31, 2007 plus an extended claim period of January 1 – February 29, 2008. However, if there is a remaining balance of funds for 2007 and the claim is incurred after February 29, 2008, the remaining 2007 funds will be forfeited.

By what date must I have all of my 2007 reimbursement requests submitted to the Office of Human Resources?
The extended plan year feature does not change the claims submission deadline. You must submit your claims for the 2007 plan year and the two-month extended claim period to the Office of Human Resources by March 31, 2008. Any funds remaining in an FSA after March 31, 2008 will be forfeited per federal regulations.
