Ask HR

Effective January 1 employees covered under the university’s medical plans should be using the new medical/prescription drug ID card for both doctor office visits and prescription drug pickups.

What if I did not receive a new medical/prescription drug ID card?
Please verify that your home address is correct with your department’s human resource professional (HRP). If you are unsure who your HRP is, you can check at hr.osu.edu/dir. If your address is correct, you can call NGS at 1-866-442-8257 to request new cards. It is option 4 on their phone menu. If your department HRP has to update your address,S please e-mail the request for a new insurance card to service@hr.osu.edu or call (614) 292-1050 or 1-800-678-6010, after your HRP has corrected your mailing address.

Do we also have new dental and/or vision insurance cards?
No, there are no cards required for those programs. You can download a dental card by logging on to consumertoolkit.com or download a vision card from vsp.com/member/htmls/member_home.jsp.
