Retailers Save You $$ on Prescriptions

As prescription drug prices continue to rise, there are tools available to help manage out-of-pocket costs.

In May, several area pharmacy chains enhanced their $4 generic programs and began offering a 90-day supply of generic medication for a flat dollar copay. Wal-Mart, Target, and Kroger offer a 90-day supply of generic medication for a $10 copay, and Walgreens offers a 90-day supply of generic medication for a $12.99 copay. For more information about these programs, visit:

If you currently have a 30-day prescription, your physician will need to write a new 90-day prescription. To receive this retail benefit, you don’t need to show your university medical/prescription drug card.
