On-Campus Kindergarten Program Openings
Looking for an alternative to your neighborhood kindergarten program? The answer may be closer than you think.
The Ohio State University Child Care Program has enrollment openings available for fall 2008. The kindergarten is chartered by the State of Ohio and follows the model curriculum and requirements for teacher certification set forth by the State of Ohio. Unique features of the kindergarten curriculum include partnerships with several Ohio State colleges that provide math, dance, music, and physical education instruction. Children who complete the program are satisfactorily prepared for the first grade curriculum in any elementary school.
Another unique feature of the Ohio State kindergarten is that childcare services and kindergarten are blended—children may come to the kindergarten room as early as 7 a.m. and stay as late as 6 p.m. Registration for the 2008-09 school year is underway.
