Glacier Enrollment for Non-U.S. Citizens and/or Non-U.S. Permanent Resident Aliens

Glacier is a web-based computer program that helps Ohio State remain compliant with IRS regulations regarding taxation and reporting of Foreign Nationals who are paid by the university.

The program provides a “beginning-to-end” tax compliance solution by collecting all the necessary and relevant information for Foreign Nationals working for Ohio State. The program will:

• Make tax residency, withholding, and income tax treaty determinations.

• Manage appropriate paperwork.

• Maintain data.

• File appropriate reporting statements with the IRS.

Any changes to a Foreign National's visa, work authorization, Social Security number, and/or address must also be updated in the Glacier System.

All Foreign Nationals who have not received Glacier enrollment information should contact the OHR Tax Office at taxoffice@hr.osu.edu or (614) 292-2521. Additional information about the Glacier System can be found at hr.osu.edu/payroll/tax.
