Direct Deposit: Information for Rehired Employees
Welcome back to Ohio State! There are a few things you need to do to ensure you will be paid properly:
- Make sure your direct deposit information is current by visiting epayroll.theworknumber.com/osu. Note - you will not have access to direct deposit setup until after the start date of your appointment.
- To log-in, use your 8 or 9 digit OSU ID number (located on your Buck-ID or through your departmental Human Resource Professional) and your previously established PIN number. If you’ve forgotten your PIN number, click here.
- If you have not been paid in 90 days or more, your direct deposit account is inactive and you must visit epayroll.theworknumber.com/osu, delete your account information and then re-enter it – even if that information is exactly the same.
- Review your address on your paystub to verify it is current. Contact your HR representative if you need to update your address.
- Review your W4 elections on your pay stub
- Elect to receive your W2 online at hr.osu.edu/payroll/taxw2online.aspx.
If you were not previously participating in direct deposit, learn how to enroll here. If you do not have a bank account, you can be paid via a pay card, which works as an ATM or check card. By electing to use the pay card, you receive your net pay in a secure account that is set up and maintained by JPMorgan Chase.
Please visit hr.osu.edu/payroll/index.aspx for additional information.
