Credit Union of Ohio
As a university employee, you are eligible for membership in the Credit Union of Ohio — a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative association. Unlike other financial institutions, which need to generate profits to satisfy stockholders, a credit union returns excess earnings to members, primarily in the form of competitive dividend rates paid on savings and investment accounts, competitive interest rates on loans, and the addition of new products and services. You can take advantage of Money Market Accounts, Share Certificates, Loan Programs, Checking and Savings Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), and more. There are even more benefits to being a member of Credit Union than just our rates and services. Use our CU Realty Services and get a rebate on the realtor's commission — both buying and selling!
In addition, you may choose to have a portion of your pay automatically deducted and deposited into a Credit Union account. Since this is a deduction from your paycheck, you can use this service even if you currently participate in direct deposit with another bank. To participate in the program, open an account at the Credit Union of Ohio, then complete and return a Credit Union of Ohio Authorization for Payroll Deduction form to Payroll Services.
