Drug Free Workplace Policy Updated

Ohio State has updated its Drug Free Workplace Policy (Policy 7.30) as required by changes in federal regulations. The purpose of the policy is to ensure a safe environment for faculty, staff, students, and visitors to campus.
Under this policy, it is unacceptable for any university employee, including student employees, to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs while on duty. Chairs, supervisors and managers should to seek assistance when they suspect or have questions about drug or alcohol use in the workplace.
All employees should report any workplace use of alcohol or illegal drugs by employees to their supervisor, OHR Consulting Services, or the OSU Police as needed.
