Ways We Can Serve You

In order to serve as many Ohio State students, staff and faculty as possible, the Child Care Program offers a variety of enrollment options, including full day, half day, partial week and evening care. To learn more about the many programs available visit the Service Options page of our website.
The Child Care Program serves each child and family with high quality early care and education, regardless of the type of enrollment that is right for each family or the amount of time a child spends in care each week.
We serve each child and family with:
- Teachers who have degrees/credentials in the field of early childhood education and who participate in continuing education annually.
- An emergent curriculum approach that builds on the ideas and interests of children, assists their discovery of knowledge, and incorporates educational standards in innovative ways.
- Indoor and outdoor space that allows children to explore, discover, move, and grow.
- Two facilities to meet the needs of over 500 families in the university community.
- An on-site kitchen where hot meals and snacks are prepared daily.
- Administrators who value children, families and teachers first and who bring a diversity of experience and skills to their positions.
- A university community that is supportive of work/life concerns.
Eligibility
University students, staff, or faculty who have legal custody and/or are the primary caregivers for their children are eligible for child care services. All children are eligible regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or handicap. A limited number of spaces are available for children identified as needing early intervention service.
